THE PERSONAL PROJECT @ EASTERN PUBLIC SCHOOL

Personal Project at EPS

EPS IBMYP Personal Project is a rare opportunity for students in Year 5 to exhibit aptitude, flair and passion for a given topic of their interest. The choices are endless, but students are asked to demonstrate that they have incorporated at least one of the Global contexts into their work, set a target goal, as a whole that makes students as lifelong learners, as it helps students to develop confidence as principled (Learner Profile). Students in Year 5 of the MYP explore an area of personal interest. Through a period of time with independent research and inquiry, students acquire Learner profile during their learning phase and develop important ATL skills for further development of educational gain that enlightens life beyond their curriculums.
All MYP personal project reports are sent from EPS for external moderation to the IB to ensure a globally-consistent standard of excellence.
Beginning in 2016, for the first time all EPS registered 2015-16 batch of Year 5 students for personal project moderation. EPS makes sure that Students who complete the personal project received IB MYP course results; as the personal project is a requirement for students pursuing the IB MYP certificate. As mentioned in IB website these internationally recognized awards validate student learning and can support university admission applications.
